Pincushion Distortion

A geometrical distortion in a video picture, or a form of optical aberration, that makes the middle of all sides of a square appear to bow inward. The distortion can amount to several percent of the picture height in some intensified camera tubes. See also Aberration, Distortion, Barrel distortion.
